나에게 어떤 팝송을 가장 좋아하냐고
묻는다면
이제는 그 대답이 쉽지 않게되었다
좋아하는 곡들이 너무 많아서
쉽게 대답을 할 수 없는 경지에 이른 것이다.
Kansas라고 하면
먼저 Dust in the wind를 떠올리겠지만
나에게는 Nobody's Home 이다
Kansas가 1977년 내어놓은
Point of Know Return이라는
앨범에 수록되어 있는 곡이다
이 명반에
그 유명한 Dust in the wind이 실려있다
그 판을 듣다가 발견한 이 곡
그 이후 이마도 1000번은 들은 듯한 노래

중학교 때라서
이 부분을 옳게 파악하고 있었는지
어떤지는 알 수 없지만….
이 부분이 나의 가슴을 찔렀다…
이 세상에 홀로 던져진 듯한
나에게 큰 위로가 되었던 곡이다…
LP 자켓의 일러스트가 또한 압권이다….
